The first weekend in December is the traditional date for our FMCA Dogwood Chapter Christmas rally. This year we’re in VA Beach at Holiday Travel Park. We arrived a day early on Thursday. A group of about a dozen early arrivals enjoyed dinner at the Lucky Oyster. It’s south of the city and a recommended restaurant if you’re in the area. Good food, modes prices, good combination.
As usual, we had a nice turnout for the rally with all of our usual fun. Men cook breakfast, happy hours, covered dish dinners, Yankee gift swap, wine tastings etc. We had a nice time. Sunday, we stopped for a visit with Carolyn’s parents and then we headed home.
This time of the year I like to keep the fuel tanks full on the motor home. Otherwise, we run the risk of condensation in the tank. Diesel fuel and water combined led to problems in Diesel engines.
We’re home now and fun with the fall leaf season continues. It should be over with soon.
